Your CSR actions can be a powerful lever for your company's growth

At Altopi, we are committed to making sustainable development concrete and accessible. CSR is a vast and complex field, and it's easy to get lost in it!
Our goal is to boost corporate engagement by providing simple, high-impact action ideas. We are convinced that this is the best way for committed companies to effectively contribute to improving our society.

Just because the challenge of sustainable development is critical doesn't mean we have to lose our smiles!
Our mission is fundamental, and the entire Altopi team works with enthusiasm and conviction to make it happen. People are the key to success, and kindness and good humor are essential!

Greenwashing is like CO2: the less of it, the better! Altopi is here to help eradicate it. We are convinced that all companies can implement REAL CSR actions and reduce their footprint on the planet.
By systematically pairing measurement indicators with all our CSR actions, our client companies can track the real impact of their sustainable initiatives.
We have many commitments to the environment. Respecting and preserving the environment is a subject very close to our hearts; every decision and purchase takes into account the impact on the environment and society. Nothing is left to chance; we vet each of our service providers to ensure they align with our values and our vision for the company.

Our team members travel exclusively by bike, public transport (bus/metro), or train. We refuse all business travel by plane. Professional meetings are primarily held via video conference to limit travel. For unavoidable business trips to client sites or for seminars, we prioritize trains and public transport.
In 2023, we drafted a travel policy that outlines our commitments to sustainable mobility. For the occasional car trip in the Paris region, we have subscribed to a car-sharing service that uses hybrid or electric vehicles.

Our offices are located within the Wacano space.
Here, every detail counts: we designed our workspace responsibly, using 100% second-hand furniture, sustainable water management, an optimized waste sorting system, and a communal compost bin.

With every purchase or decision, we consider the environmental impact it creates. All our choices must be meaningful and align with our values. For example, we chose not to print business cards, opting instead for a single, connected WEMET business card.
When we participated in the 2021 PRODURABLE trade show, all our service providers were carefully selected to ensure they had the lowest possible environmental impact, prioritized local sourcing, and respected human rights.

All employees use their own equipment. Altopi ensures it is in good working order and supplements it if necessary. We prioritize buying second-hand.

We print as few documents as possible. We do not own a printer; documents are printed using the printer provided in our coworking space. To keep printing to a minimum, we use Notion and Teams to share documents within the team.
Professional presentations are created with Canva and are not sent out in paper format. We digitize as many documents as possible. Finally, we use Payfit as our accounting software, which allows each employee to access their personal space (for pay slips, etc.) so they don't have to print them.

We do our best to raise awareness among our teams about the consequences of inaction. Through workshops led by external providers, we keep our employees informed. We participated in a Biodiversity Collage and a Climate Fresk during 2022.

Our offices are furnished with second-hand furniture.

Energy savings are encouraged by limiting heating use in winter.

We are connected to the city of Paris's district heating system to limit our carbon footprint.

And of course, there is no air conditioning installed in our offices!

We have signed the Responsible Digital Charter (Charte Numérique Responsable) to align ourselves with principles that help limit our energy consumption related to IT infrastructure.

- A complex printing procedure (not connected to the office network) discourages use and helps reduce paper consumption.
- All waste streams are collected separately (paper, glass, cardboard, etc.) in centralized bins.
- A compost bin significantly reduces the volume of non-recyclable waste.
Example of an action: At lunchtime, we have a wide choice of restaurants and takeout spots that offer local, seasonal, and vegetarian products. To reach our goal (Zero waste related to lunch by the end of 2023), we’ve adopted a few habits, such as using reusable cutlery, even for takeout meals. The next step to reach our goal: switching to reusable containers.

We are committed to minimizing our consumption to the strict minimum. We want to avoid unnecessary purchases and choose eco-friendly products and services whenever possible. We prioritize second-hand or refurbished purchases over new ones, especially for IT equipment.
As a signatory of the Supplier Relations and Responsible Purchasing Charter, we commit to choosing suppliers and service providers who align with our CSR commitments.
In 2023, we joined the Supplier Relations and Responsible Purchasing Charter, which requires us to strengthen the responsibility of our purchasing. In general, we avoid unnecessary purchases. For example, our team members use their personal computers for professional tasks to optimize the use of digital tools and avoid double-equipping. When IT equipment is needed, we buy it refurbished, notably from Ecodair.

When we organize internal events, we commit to choosing activities that consider their social and environmental impact. This means selecting locations accessible by public transport and train, using suppliers from the Social and Solidarity Economy, and taking the opportunity to raise our team's awareness of social and climate issues.
Example: We organized a team day focused on solidarity. We participated in a scavenger hunt in the Marais district to discover social businesses and cafes, organized by Esscapades.
Our social commitment is paramount. We respect and pay close attention to the well-being of our employees. For Altopi, every team member should benefit from a comfortable workspace and a kind, pleasant environment.

Above all, we value team spirit; we are lucky to work around shared values: kindness, active listening, and energy. We enjoy many moments together, such as after-work drinks, lunches, workshops, seminars, and more. These help us build a genuine relationship based on trust and cohesion.

We offer many benefits: we enjoy the comprehensive Alan health insurance plan (100% covered), a Swile lunch card, and 100% reimbursement of transport costs for employees outside Île-de-France.

Regular check-ins are held between teams and management to foster professional growth and career development, as well as to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Individual life circumstances are taken into account when organizing work schedules (remote work, travel time, family commitments, etc.).
Events that encourage team cohesion (seminars, meetings between teams from different sites, etc.) are organized regularly. We foster dialogue between staff and management through quarterly team meetings, where work-related challenges or suggestions for improvement are discussed.

Access to training: If a team member feels the need for training to develop their skills, Altopi will support their project. For example, our communications manager completed an SEO course this year to level up her skills.
Altopi also promotes access to work-study programs and internships. In our 3 years of existence, Altopi has recruited 4 work-study students and 3 interns. Two work-study placements are still ongoing, and one led to a permanent contract.

Our team members can work remotely up to 3 days a week. We strictly respect work-life balance by only contacting the team during working hours. Workstations are adapted to individual needs (standing desks are available, and we provide ergonomic setups for both home and office).
Altopi takes special care to ensure our team members have all the necessary (second-hand) equipment to feel comfortable, whether at home or in the office.
For example, upon request, Altopi funds anything that makes work time more comfortable: a second monitor, a computer mouse, a comfortable chair, etc. A nap area, break rooms, and relaxation corners are set up in our coworking space, which is spacious, pleasant, and bright. Our coworking space also offers yoga, shiatsu, meditation classes, and fitness sessions.

We have implemented an internal alert procedure to allow any of our employees to report abusive behavior.
Management ensures, through regular meetings and interviews where open dialogue is encouraged, that every team member feels comfortable in the company and is free from discrimination, intimidation, harassment, or any form of violence.

- A right-to-disconnect policy: no emails, messages, or calls outside of working hours, and a professional phone number to ensure we can switch off.
- Monitoring of working hours to distribute tasks fairly and avoid overload.
- Soundproof phone booths that allow us to take calls without disturbing our colleagues.
- Everyone has all the equipment necessary for their comfort to limit musculoskeletal disorders. Bonus! All keyboards, screens, mice, chairs, etc., are refurbished.
- Our health insurance offers excellent coverage and also provides access to several resources to prevent musculoskeletal disorders and psychosocial risks.
- 3 of our employees are certified Workplace First Aiders.

At Altopi, we are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion by creating a work environment where everyone is respected and valued, regardless of their background, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or abilities. We do not make value judgments.
We have an anti-discrimination policy that promotes diversity in recruitment and promotion opportunities.
Our job openings are open to everyone, and we do not discriminate. We agree with and respect the recruitment policy proposed by jobs_that_makesense, the committed platform we use for our hiring.

We are committed to maintaining gender parity in our workforce. Today, our team consists of 6 women and 5 men.

The core of our business is supporting companies in implementing their CSR strategy. Our mission is to promote sustainable development and implement solutions for our client companies to improve their impact. We aim to raise awareness and engage companies, and above all, to get them to take action.
From creating a CSR strategy to steering and implementation, our services are known for providing the best support for a company's CSR journey. We offer services that allow companies to measure their impact, notably the CSR Assessment, which provides an overview and an action plan, and the Bilan Carbone®, which measures emissions and establishes a reduction plan.
We also help companies promote their CSR efforts by obtaining certifications. Finally, we engage our clients' employees and management teams through awareness workshops and CSR training to ensure lasting organizational change.

We provide information on climate and social topics through frequent posts on social media (LinkedIn) and our monthly newsletter.
We publish White Papers on our website, which serve as valuable resources for sustainable corporate development.
As part of our services, we organize awareness sessions for our clients' employees (workshops, Climate Fresks, etc.).

Awareness workshops: Employee engagement is essential for a successful CSR strategy. Teams that are informed and engaged are more receptive to new CSR measures implemented by the company and motivated to participate in them.
IMPACT: Our clients' employees are aware of environmental and social issues.
Bilan Carbone®: For a company, measuring emissions is the first step toward knowing how to reduce its carbon impact. A Bilan Carbone® can serve as the starting point for a company's environmental strategy.
IMPACT: Reduction of GHG emissions for our client companies.
CSR Assessment: Our CSR Assessment allows a company to:
- Identify its priority CSR issues
- Evaluate its maturity regarding each identified issue
- Obtain a detailed action plan and quantified objectives
Once the results are presented, we support the company in implementing CSR governance to ensure the strategy is embedded and that actions are regularly monitored by a dedicated team (Steering Committee).
IMPACT: Initiation of structured CSR processes within our client companies
EcoVadis rating: Obtaining a certification is the best way to showcase a company's CSR commitment. We support companies in this process by helping them build their application and advising them on solutions to improve their commitment and rating. This support can also serve as a starting point for a CSR strategy, as the requirements for certifications and labels help structure the overall approach.
IMPACT: Alignment of our client companies with recognized CSR standards.
