Bipea chose Altopi to conduct its Carbon Footprint assessment (Scope 3)

Based in Paris, Bipea is a non-profit association for laboratories that now includes over 4,000 participating labs worldwide. Bipea has 35 employees and generates €6M in revenue.
BIPEA supports the analytical performance of laboratories.
BIPEA voluntarily decided to conduct a carbon footprint assessment to understand and evaluate its climate impact. This initiative will allow BIPEA to reduce its environmental footprint by implementing high-impact actions.
BIPEA chose to partner with Altopi and leverage BPI’s Diag Decarbon’action program to carry out its Carbon Footprint assessment. As part of this program, the company provided employee training on climate issues through the Climate Fresk workshop, facilitated by Altopi’s CSR experts.
BIPEA was supported by our CSR project manager, Bertille.
As part of BIPEA’s carbon footprint assessment, we completed the following:
- BIPEA’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 Carbon Footprint,
- A Climate Fresk awareness workshop and training on carbon footprint issues for the association’s staff
- Developed a carbon trajectory with 10 priority actions to implement in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from BIPEA’s main emission sources.
Thanks to this work, BIPEA now has the data and ideas for high-impact actions needed to reduce its environmental footprint.
Together, we defined a carbon trajectory with an ambitious reduction target of 216tCO2e by 2030.
BIPEA has implemented several high-impact actions following the carbon footprint assessment and the awareness workshop. They now wish to evaluate their efforts to measure the impact of their actions.
